  • Abstract: The starting point for the analysis is text corpus/stenographic record of the speeches given at the meetings of Le Studio Franco-Russe in Paris (1929-1931). The problem of collaboration/dialogue and creative meeting of representatives of Russian emigration (K. Zaitsev, B. Poplavskiy, B. Vysheslavtsev, M. Fedotov, V. de Vogt, N. Berberova et al.) and French intellectual elite (J.- P. Maxence, R. Lalou, L. Gillet, S. Fumet et al.) is discussed. The interpretation of Russian and French intellectualls’ reception and reading/understanding of the “phenomenon of Dostoevsky,” their approaches to cultural and paideitic role of Dostoevsky and his model characters for the 20th century man experiencing the condition of crisis of values are given. The article covers this topic in the context of the renowned studies of Dostoevsky’s most famous formulas (the “dogma” of everyone’s responsibility for everything, “beauty will save the world,” “all is permitted”) present in the 20th century humanistic thought and taking on “applied sense;” formulas that can be correlated with their conceptualization in intellectual debates within the French-Russian Studio.
