Notes should be formatted as automatic footnotes at the bottom of the page.
The footnote number at the end of a sentence is placed before the period.
Footnote Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt.

Abbreviations and Conventions:
Personal Names: Upon first mention, provide the full first name and patronymic, separated by a space from the surname.
 Dates and Periods:
Decades: Use numerals only ("30-е гг.", not "тридцатые годы").
 Specific Year(s): Use "г." or "гг." (1920 г., 1920–1922 гг.).
Century: Use "в." or "вв." with Roman numerals (e.g., "IX в.").
 Allowed Abbreviations: т. д., т. п., др., т. е., см.
Spell Out Fully: "так как" (since/because), "так называемые" (so-called).
 Non-breaking Spaces (Required):
1. Between initials and surname: А.В. Петров
2. Between abbreviations: т. д., т. п., т. е.
3. Between numbers and abbreviations: 1905 г., X в., 12 кг.

Punctuation Throughout the Text:
 Quotation Marks:
Primary quotes: Use French guillemets (« »).
Nested quotes or text in Latin script: Use English double quotes (“ ”). Example: «"раз", два, три, "четыре"».
Nested quotes within Latin text: Use English single quotes (ʽ ’). Example: “one, ʽtwo', three, ʽfour'”.
 Dashes:
Use a long em dash (—) throughout the text.
Exception: Use a short en dash (–) between page numbers in references (С. 18–20) and between years (1920–1930).

References/Bibliography:
The article must conclude with a List of Literature (in Russian/Cyrillic) and a References list (in transliteration and English).

 List of Literature (Список литературы):
Divide into two sections: "Исследования" (Scholarly Works) and "Источники" (Primary Sources). Within each section, list Cyrillic sources first, then Latin-alphabet sources. Use continuous numbering across both sections.
Format as a numbered list in alphabetical order according to GOST 7.0.5–2008.
Multi-volume collected works and dictionaries should not be listed volume by volume. Provide the general bibliographic description, and cite specific volumes in the main text footnotes, e.g.: [6, т. 12], [6, т. 12, с. 108].
For books, always indicate the publisher and total number of pages.
 Author names should be italicized.
 In-text citations: Format as follows: [1], [2, с. 5], [3, с. 34; 5, с. 2], [7, стб. 23], [10, л. 6].
Citations of archival materials should be provided in footnotes or within the main text, formatted according to GOST 7.0.5–2008.

 References (in English):
This list contains transliterated and translated entries only for works originally published in Cyrillic. Works originally in Latin script (French, German, Italian, Polish, etc.) are not transliterated or translated; they are listed in their original form.
Transliteration: Use the website https://translit.ru/, select the Library of Congress (LC) system. Paste the entire Russian bibliography text into the field, click "в транслит", and copy the result into the References section.
Editing & Translation: Edit the transliterated result and add the English translation in square brackets [ ] after the corresponding transliterated title. Note: Journal titles are only transliterated, not translated.
Author Names: For works in Latin script, write out full first names. For transliterated works, initials are acceptable. Separate initials/names from the surname with a comma.
Capitalization: Use Title Case for the English translation of titles (capitalize all significant words; articles, prepositions, conjunctions remain lowercase).
 Formatting Titles:
Article titles, chapter titles, etc., should be enclosed in English double quotes (both transliteration and translation).
 Replace "//" with a period.
 Replace "/" with a comma.
Replace "№" with "no." (with a period), "Т." with "Vol.".
Important: In journal citations, the issue number must come before the year.
Volumes, Issues, etc.: Indicate volumes, issue numbers, etc., before the place of publication. Example: Letopis’ zhizni i tvorchestva I.A. Bunina [The Chronicle of Ivan Bunin's Life and Works], comp. S.N. Morozov, vol. 2 (1910–1919). Moscow, IWL RAS Publ., 2017. 1184 p. (In Russ.)
Place of Publication: Translate the city (e.g., М. — Moscow; СПб. — St. Petersburg).
Publisher: Replace the colon after the city with a comma. Add "Publ." after the transliterated publisher name (e.g., Nauka Publ.).
Pages: Correct page notations: use "p." instead of "s."; use "pp." instead of "сс.".
Italics: Italicize the title of the main source (monograph, journal, collected volume, etc.) — both the transliterated text and the translation. Author names are not italicized.
Language Note: At the end of the bibliographic entry for translated works, add "(In Russ.)" in parentheses.
DOI: If available, the DOI must be provided.
