"Zovy Drevnosti" and from "Iz Mirovoi Poezii": the Peculiarities of Émigré "Reprints" of the Author’s Poetic Anthologies

Abstract: This article examines the fundamental changes made by K. Bal’mont in his 1908 books. These changes reflected the poet's new ideas about his own status and that of his anthology books, which became apparent first and foremost in their authorial composition and in the fundamentally expanded poetic repertoire of the works included in the collections. “From World Poetry” book covers a considerably longer period of time, while maintaining the total number of authors, but expanding it with samples of prosimetry and free verse. The new “Calls of Antiquity” have expanded by including two new sections and are much more diverse in terms of metrics and stanzas.
