Oleg A. Korostelev as a Publisher of Bunin’s Heritage

Abstract: The article deals with the significant contribution made by Oleg Korostelev into modern Bunin studies. Despite the fact that the researcher was hardly ever involved into specific subjects related to Ivan Bunin’s works, he was the founder of all the major recent academic editions dedicated to Bunin. Bunin’s volume of “Literary Heritage”, which opened up the scientific community to almost all the materials of the Bunin archive, is also his project. In addition, the article introduces the reader to several articles by Korostelev dedicated directly to Bunin and Vera Muromtseva-Bunina, as well as to the large publications of the Bunin epistolary prepared by him: correspondence with Georgii Adamovich and Iu.L. Sazonova. The author comes to the conclusion that Bunin’s life and work were not an accidental theme in the researcher’s activity.
