Piotr Bitsilli’s Book Reviews in the Context of the Literary Process of Russia Abroad

Abstract: The article deals with P.M. Bitsilli’s reviews of books by contemporary emigrant writers I.A. Bunin, B.K. Zaitsev, G.N. Kuznetsova, L.F. Zurov, V.V. Nabokov (V. Sirin), etc. These reviews touch on actual trends in the literature of the Russia abroad and characterize Bitsilli’s original critical method, close to the “immanent” method of Iu.I. Aikhenval'd.
