Abstract: The main purpose of the article is to solve the problem of publishing and commenting on Gulliver's “Literary Chronicle”, a column from “Vozrozhdenie”, the Paris newspaper run by Vladislav Khodasevich and Nina Berberova in the 1920–1930s. Achieving this goal, the author solves the following tasks: the problem of attribution, as a key one for studying, commenting and publishing this text; the problem of methodology for studying it in terms of intra-text analysis. It is proposed to consider Gulliver as an independent author, and to view the text created by him as a conceptual refraction of sources that reflects the features of his literary personality. The relevance of these attitudes to the purpose and objectives of the study is proved by the example of characteristic fragments from the “Literary Chronicle” dedicated to the influence of Sergei Yesenin's work on the late 1920s Soviet literary process. The author considers this approach to make possible publishing the “Literary Chronicle” unabridged, and in the comments to it highlighting the work of Gulliver with sources, as essential for understanding the ideological plan of the literary critic.
